JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the timely creation and distribution of monthly financial reports to coordinators, including performing follow up analysis, research, and issue resolution on the data in those reports
- Uses GMS reports to provide financial data to department leadership with day to day, monthly, quarterly, annual, and special reports
- Using Excel, provides data analysis on spending patterns, budget to actuals, burn rate, projected spending rate and other financial analyses to ensure leadership has timely, accurate and unbiased information and projections
- Assists with the creation, maintenance, and fiscal management of financial records, including, but not limited to, grant applications and contractual agreements, sponsor invoices, award close outs, RFP review and ongoing reporting on spending
- Ensures detailed record keeping of program and grant expenditures, and expenditure reports
- Prepares foundational information and reports, vouchers and budget modifications as needed for program and grant monitoring
- Collaborates with the Coordinators of programs to ensure that the program activities are on target with its monthly expenditures
- Works with Senior Financial Manager and Department Administration in preparation for fiscal audits
- Performs daily financial functions including serving as back up for the review and processing of disbursement vouchers, purchase order requests and mileage reimbursements
- Compiles financial data and generates financial reports and invoices as directed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong and proven Excel experience, including data manipulation, forecasting, pivot tables and other advanced Excel functions
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience with data analytics, payroll, and financial systems required,
- The ability to independently run reports and perform analysis on multiple data points
- Manage priorities and work independently
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills, the ability to impart financial information to a non-financial audience and be able to provide excellent customer service and follow up
- Maintain discretion and confidentiality with consumer information
- Must have good organizational skills, be able to devise methods for completing duties, and be able to carry out tasks efficiently.
- Must have thorough knowledge of administrative/ business operations, accounting practices, financial reporting, regulations, agency, department and program policies and procedures.
- Must be able to carry out the responsibilities of the position including excellent manual dexterity for constant use of a calculator and computer keyboard.
- Must attend trainings, meetings and conferences as required.
- Must readily acquire familiarity with the rules and awards from local, state, and federal sponsors and funders
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates Degree in Accounting or Business Administration; and
- 3-5 years experience in grants, contract reporting, bookkeeping, billing, and overall general accounting; or
- Any combination of equivalent education and related experience.
Full-Time 37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Grade 10
Monday through Friday - 8:30 to 4:30 pm
