Job Description:

Our Client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Traveling Superintendent to lead the construction of food and beverage cold storage, distribution, and manufacturing facilities across various locations. This role is crucial for ensuring that each project is completed according to plan, on time, and within budget, while upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.

Salary:
  • Competitive compensation ranging from $120,000 to $200,000+ annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Travel to various construction sites to oversee daily operations, ensuring all projects adhere to set timelines, budgets, safety standards, and building codes.
  • Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other construction specialists to ensure seamless execution of projects.
  • Manage on-site construction teams, including subcontractors and laborers, to ensure compliance with project specifications and legal regulations.
  • Oversee the procurement and logistics of materials and equipment necessary for each site, ensuring efficient operations.
  • Conduct site inspections and provide detailed progress reports to senior management.
  • Address and resolve issues that arise on-site promptly and effectively.
  • Maintain strong, ongoing communication with clients and stakeholders, ensuring their requirements are met and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Implement and monitor quality control procedures to maintain high standards of construction and safety at all sites.
Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience as a Superintendent, particularly in the construction of cold storage, food processing, life sciences, or similar facilities.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively to project sites as required.
  • Proficient in managing multiple projects simultaneously in different stages of development.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant construction codes, safety laws, and regulatory standards.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field is preferred.
