Position Overview:

This position interacts with Weiss Bros. of Hagerstown, Inc. employees, customers, and other industry professionals.

The Order Puller responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

- Pick orders

- Verifies picked orders; count pieces in each order

- Processes special requests will- call orders

- Picks and prepares orders for delivery

- Lines up tickets for route

- Loads trucks according to route schedule

- Unloads and stacks merchandise from truck or trailer; unloads backhaul

- Checks in merchandise

- Assists in unloading trucks

- Stocks freight including any returns

- Handles returned orders

- Performs warehouse clean-up duties as assigned including sweeping and picking up cardboard

- Loads racks, slots, and bins and keeps them filled

- Assists in tracking productivity

- Performs maintenance duties

- Performs additional duties as assigned by the supervisor or other management

Physical Requirements

- Lifting up to 100 lbs.; i.e. lifting packages, boxes, and equipment

- Carrying up to 100 lbs.; i.e. Transporting packages, boxes, and equipment

- Pushing/Pulling up to 100lbs.; i.e. Moving packages, boxes, and equipment

- Use of equipment: Hand jack, dolly/hand-truck, automobile, picking machines,

- Machines, tools: high lift, forklift, and computer

Education: High School diploma or general education degree or equivalent experience

Experience: Six (6) months to one (1) year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience

Other Related Criteria: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
