Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSorter Job SummaryPeoplelink Staffing Solutions is seeking a case picker in partnership with a prominent client in Pittston, PA within the frozen food industry. Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour / 1st and 2nd Shift Responsibilities of the Sorter:
  • Sorting frozen food and package them appropriately
  • Place products in equipment or on work surfaces for further processing or inspecting
  • Prepare raw materials for processing
  • Must be comfortable lifting 55 lbs.
Work Environment
  • Fast paced industrial machinery and cold storage work environment
  • Warehouse Dock are kept at 32 degrees (and below zero in certain areas)
  • Ability to withstand cold storage temperatures for extended periods of time (warm gear provided by company)
Case Picker Qualifications
  • Understanding of production procedures
  • Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
  • Basic Math Skills
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs. /18 kgs.; weight may be more dependent upon facility
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experienced operating warehouse vehicles such as forklifts, cherry picks, electric pallet jacks, standup forklifts, ect.
