Job DescriptionJob Description

A patient scheduling specialist is responsible for helping patients gain access to medical treatment within Osceola Medical Center; provides efficient and complete scheduling and registration of all patients requiring services in the clinic, outpatient areas, emergency room and inpatient unit; provides a cheerful, approachable presence demonstrating outstanding customer service; adhere to the strictest confidentiality and HIPAA regulations; and greet patients in a prompt and polite manner, gather pertinent data to complete registration and scheduling tasks and ensure efficient patient flow.

Typical Schedule:

Monday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Tuesday 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Wednesday - OFF, Thursday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

One weekend every quarter and one holiday every 2 years

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED/HSED, required, associates degree in related field, preferred.
  • 1 or more years of patient scheduling experience, preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong customer services skills.
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Positive attitude.
