RN Supervisor Summary:

The RN Supervisor coordinates the administrative and clinical functions for a defined resident population and time frame to ensure an effective and efficient environment for residents, family, and staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure nursing operational standards are met
  • Provide reports on productivity, quality, and customer service metrics
  • Inform family members about medical procedures and doctors' instructions
  • Handle complaints or other issues
  • Establish a compassionate environment by providing psychological support to patients, family, and friends
  • Keep records of nurses' files, patients' cases, and procedures
  • Handles Admissions
  • Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years' experience providing direct care to multiple patients/residents preferred; previous experience in Skilled Nursing environment desirable; previous supervisory experience strongly preferred
  • Nursing degree from accredited college or graduation from approved RN program required
  • Must possess current, unencumbered license to practice as an RN in California
  • Current valid CPR certification required
