Overview

Davis, Bowen & Friedel’s administrative staff play a vital role in keeping up with the fast-paced environment of the Architecture, Engineering, and Survey industry. IT assistants find unique and better ways to manage the daily operation of computers systems and servers and develop strategies to ensure the smooth running of an office. The IT Assistant provides support to all departments throughout the firm. The success of our business benefits greatly from the productivity and adequacy of our valued IT Assistant.

 

In this role, we are looking for an ambitious, timely, and efficient individual who can provide support in maintenance, configuration and operation of technological property. The ideal candidate must be detailed oriented, possess excellent organizational skills, and must work well under time constraints. 

 

The IT Assistant will be handling day-to-day IT systems and networks, troubleshooting network connections, and helping new employees set up workstations with software and new passwords. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Checking system for issues, problems with service, and potential breaks
  • Answering requests for service fixes and tickets for problems
  • Updating status reports on problems and recording solutions
  • Helping IT Administrator plan software updates, changes, and launches
  • Reporting problems to IT Administrator and discussing solutions or alternatives
  • Clearing and cleaning hardware when needed
  • Educating staff on network safety and security

 

Education & Skills

The candidate shall possess a two (2) year degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a similar field. Two (2) years of field experience is preferred.
