POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for daily operations of Salvage department and Fleet functions. Coordinates the intake, processing, storage and distribution of salvage. Coordinates maintenance and safe operation of Goodwill Fleet. Responsible for supervising, training and motivating employees.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

· High School Diploma or GED preferred

· 6 months warehouse experience required

· Must be certified in CPR/First Aid within first 3 months of employment

QUALIFICATIONS / SPECIFIC SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE:

· Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills

· Ability to handle the needs of employees in a sensitive and effective manner

· Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform their duties

· Requires ability to maintain privileged and confidential information

· Maintains professional appearance and decorum at all times

· Must be able to read and write English effectively

· Effectively communicate with co-workers and employees

· Mobility, lifting and carrying to safely maintain flow of goods and items

· Ability to work varied hours and days as business dictates

· Valid Texas driver’s license and good driving record required


RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

· Coordinate salvage process. Ensure employees are producing in a manner that maintains appropriate flow of goods (E)

· Maintain salvage levels in warehouse (E)

· Maintain salvage partnerships (E)

· Successfully complete opening & closing procedures of salvage & fleet areas (E)

· Coordinate all salvage pickups at offsite locations (E)

· Assist Manager in developing networking opportunities to increase revenue and decrease waste (E)

· Maximize efficiencies and productivity and improve upon processes (E)

· Assist in organizing incoming, in-process and outgoing materials (E)

· Responsible for maintaining vehicle inspections, repairs and maintenance (E)

· Create and maintain employee schedules to ensure appropriate coverage (E)

· Edit and approve time for employees (E)

· Responsible for supervising, training and motivating employees (E)

· Troubleshoot problems and issues associated with employees, procedures and systems. Notify supervisor as appropriate (E)

· Make appropriate decisions in a variety of situations including but not limited to altercations, medical emergencies, theft, power failure, inclement weather, etc (E)

· Ensure processes are handled efficiently, safely and appropriately (E)

· Promote a safe work environment (E)

· In conjunction with Safety Director, ensure employees are informed regarding safety procedures and operating equipment safely and effectively (E)

· Process all required documentation and paperwork accurately and timely (E)

· Responsible to accurately report/review/follow up on productivity to supervisor (E)

· Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with coworkers and other departments (E)

· Adhere to and enforce all company policies, procedures & practices, including loss prevention. (E)

· Relate appropriately and positively with co-workers

· Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
