Job Title: Senior Aviation Logistics Subject Matter Expert

Location: Ft. Cavazos, TX

Job Description:

Serve as a Senior Aviation Maintenance Subject Matter Expert for the III Armored Corps (IIIAC) G4. The SME will provide Aviation Maintenance Analysis in support of the III Armored Corps Commanding General Commander's priorities. The SME shall provide oversight and reporting requirements for all III Armored Corps Aviation rotary and unmanned aircraft assets. Provide oversight of aviation RESET, Service Life Extension Program (SLEP), and Mission Equipment Packages (MEP) actions, review and interpret Army Aviation Policies and Procedures, analyze Modification Work Orders (MWOs) for implementation, and implications to the airframe. Liaise with Program Executive Office, Aviation (PEOAVN) by attending meetings, phone conversations and Email correspondence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and provide an expert analysis on aviation Reset/Preset
  • Monitor and provide expert analyses on Un-Manned Aircraft Systems (UAS) platforms.
  • Monitor and provide expert analyses for Aircraft MEP Requirements and (MWOs)
  • Order actions and AMCOM Safety release messages.
  • Provide logistical advice for each supported Combat Aviation Brigade (CAB)
  • Provide comprehensive guidance on aircraft operations and maintenance procedures to subordinate command(s)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or 6 years of experience in Aviation Maintenance
  • Graduate of a U.S. Army Maintenance Test Pilot Course or the U.S. Army Aviation Maintenance Officer Course
  • Training and/or certificates in Global Combat Support System- Army (GCSS-A), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Army Aircraft Notebook (ACN).
  • Two (2) years of Aviation Maintenance experience at the Battalion level or above (eg Maintenance Officer, Aviation Materiel Officer, Production Control Officer, Quality Control Officer)
  • At a minimum, required to obtain/maintain clearance required for base access (NAC-I T1)
