Adjunct Instructor

Huntington University seeks to fill an adjunct teaching position for MA 151 Introduction to Probability and Statistics for the fall 2024 semester beginning August 26, 2024. The course introduces basic probability and statistics, covering topics such as descriptive statistics, normal distributions, laws of probability, inferential statistics, and study design while addressing the practical use and misuse of statistics in society. The course utilizes WebAssign for homework submissions.
The course is scheduled to meet in-person four days a week (MTRF) from 2:00 pm. to 2:50 pm. If needed, it may be possible to alter the schedule, including evening hours. Teaching online is not an option for this course offering.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in a mathematics, statistics, or math-related field, or five years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated potential for college-level teaching
- Supportive of a Christian faith environment and the University’s educational goals
- Should enjoy creatively and interactively teaching non-math majors
