Tellworks Assistant General Manager

Tellworks, a growing 3PL provider, is currently seeking an Assistant General Manager for our newest facilty. Our

warehouse is in a Class A warehouse park in Sparks, NV and our Customer at this location is a large, multi-national telecommunications company.

The evolution of Tellworks has created the need for a seasoned, warehouse and operations leader,

ready to hit the ground running. This position will not only be responsible for developing and leading a

team that will manage the employee performance, inventory, and transportation but also is ultimately

responsible for ensuring that orders are picked accurately and packed/shipped without damage for on-time

delivery.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with developing and managing a comprehensive strategy for the facility by shaping
  • requirements, assessing deliverables and utilizing resources to help eliminate process problems
  • Drives continuous improvements to safety, quality, cost and delivery while growing and
  • expanding capabilities within the warehouse
  • Review and prepare any action plans while ensuring productivity, quality and customer service
  • standards are met
  • Responsible for the production and sequencing operations of the entire plant/shift
  • Must be an on-the-production floor leader, observing, analyzing, questioning, discussing,
  • teaching, learning and leading others to continually improve operational performance.
  • Ensures all new employees are properly on-boarded; completing required paperwork and
  • following a structured training schedule
  • Acts as a role model for the department in support of corporate mission, vision, and values

Qualifications and Experience

  • 10 years leadership experience in a managing a high daily volume facility
  • 10 years’ progressive experience and demonstrated success as a supervisor/shift

  • Lean Six Sigma Experience and Continuous Process Improvement knowledge and experience
