Position Overview

The Office of Development and Alumni Relations is seeking a committed and enthusiastic individual to grow its dynamic and vibrant forward-facing alumni relations team. The Alumni Relations Coordinator will manage programs, activities and communications to increase engagement among our alumni to create a culture of connectedness, providing multiple opportunities for life-long engagement with Merrimack College.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee event management processes including the creation and management of registration pages for department events.

  • Generate registration and event reporting and provide post-event data analysis such as patterns and trends in registrations.

  • Assist with managing event budgets, including tracking expenses, invoicing, and payments.

  • Coordinate third-party relationships regarding event materials and rentals (venues, rentals, hotels, photography, transportation, catering, audio-visual, etc.).

  • Manage logistics and relationships with on-campus partners.

  • Serve as liaison with internal departments and external partners on the planning of affinity and/or regional events, gatherings, meetings, groups, etc.

  • Assist with the creation of email, print, and social media marketing schedules, collateral and content.

  • Create and manage web content for events, website maintenance and updates, and transition websites once events have concluded.

  • Assist with Office of Development and Alumni Relations programs and events, which will include evening and weekend work.


Qualifications:

  • Baccalaureate degree or equivalent experience.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills with excellent grammar.

  • Effective time management skills.

  • Successful execution of projects in a timely manner.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and campus partners.

  • A working style characterized by high energy, absolute integrity and a strong commitment to collegiality and transparency.

Vaccinations and Work Location

This is an on-campus position as employees are essential in order to provide a fully on-campus, residential college experience for our students and the community.
