We are headquartered in Wildwood and we service the Villages residential community and surrounding residences in Sumter, Lake and Marion counties. Pike's Electric is a member of Florida Electricians Association, Inc. and a sponsor for the FEA Tri-County Apprenticeship Program.

We are currently expanding and in need of a Custom Home Electrician to join our Team

Pay: $20.00/hr. to $30.00/hr. - Depending on Experience

Position Summary:

The Custom Home Electrician will be responsible for interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, installing new wiring and lighting, inspecting components to ensure safety and correct installation and diagnosing critical issues with the home. They must fully understand local and state regulations for safe electrical systems.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have electrical experience for Custom Homes
  • Must pass drug and background screens
  • Valid driver's license and insurable through company insurance carrier
  • Must be able to browse electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints
  • Must be willing to wear and follow all rules regarding PPE
  • Must be able to work variable shifts if the job requires it
  • Ability to work off ladders
  • A thorough knowledge of electrical/ electronic components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of state and local safety codes
    • Ability to read and interpret the National Electric Code
    • Knowledge of generators
