Purpose:

The Visual Content Creator for Church of the King will be a key contributor in crafting visually compelling content that reflects the creative expression of Church of the King. This position will be responsible for producing a wide range of visual content for various platforms, audiences, and purposes. The Visual Content Creator’s work will involve using different mediums, such as images, videos, animations, graphics, and more, to convey messages, tell stories, and engage audiences.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize, outline, shoot, and edit various photo/video and digital content, maintaining the highest standards that are consistent with the voice of Church of the King.
  • Manage all photography needs for the organization by defining subjects, locations, and the overall direction of the project.
  • Coordinate with a team of volunteers (or contractors) by identifying, training, and coordinating contractors/volunteers on projects.
  • Collaborate closely with Communications and ministry leaders to bring concepts to life while aligning with the overall creative vision.
  • Create content suitable for multiple platforms, adapting storytelling approaches to each channel's unique requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and creative technologies, incorporating innovative techniques into visual content.
  • Contribute to the ideation process, offering creative solutions, and innovative ideas for content creation.
  • Work within an Agile environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously, communicating effectively, and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Assist in selecting and coordinating locations, props, and talent for shoots as needed.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure efficient workflows and seamless processes related to capturing and curating content.
  • Maintain an organized digital asset library and follow best practices for file organization and archiving.
  • Other duties as assigned

Competency/Knowledge Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to translate concepts into visually compelling content.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to innovate and adapt to a variety of mainstream photo/video styles and genres.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a passion for maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Portfolio showcasing a diverse range of photo/video and digital content projects.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years as a creative professional with a portfolio of work, preferably in a creative team, freelance, or agency environment
  • Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Davinci Resolve, etc.) Motion Design experience a plus.
  • Proficiency in photo editing software (Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom) and graphic design tools (Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, etc.).
