Apparel Graphic Designer

The ideal candidate is passionate about apparel graphic design, with a great eye for color, design, and trend. They will be a key player in executing the full line assortment (Men’s, Women’s, Kid’s, and Accessories) from a graphic perspective. This person should constantly be looking to push the needle. Individual should be ready and energized to keep up with brand’s incredible growth trajectory in the performance market.

Reports to: Design Director

Responsibilities

  • Research emerging graphic concepts and trends, and present brand appropriate trends for all product categories: Men’s, Women’s, Kid’s, Accessories.
  • Work closely with the Design Director to establish the overall seasonal graphic direction
  • Create original graphics in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prepare artwork for production - color separate, reduce colors, determine size/scale, placement on garment, etc.
  • Understand and manage graphic restrictions such as techniques, color limitations, and costing challenges.
  • Establish an artwork library for team use.
  • Assist in development of graphic related trims, and all other artwork needs.
  • Enter graphics into PLM system.
  • Review and comment on strike-offs.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional partners to meet calendar deliverables.
  • Partner with the Design team to assemble concept, trend, and presentation boards/decks for Design milestone meetings.
  • Contribute positively to team dynamic, a team player who is also a solution driver and efficiency advocate.
  • Performs duties consistent with the Company’s goals and policies.
  • Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS or equivalent, ideally in Graphic or Textile Design
  • 3-5 years of graphic/textile design experience
  • Expert knowledge and application of Illustrator and Photoshop for textile design
  • Ability to prioritize and manage deadlines
  • Strong illustrative hand and painting skills
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of working with licensed art is a plus
  • Motivated self-starter, with an entrepreneurial mindset
