The ideal candidate must:
  • Be a Registered Dietitian or Registry eligible
  • 1-3 years experience
  • Have a desire to interact with patients who are seeking better management of a chronic disease, such as diabetes or obesity.
  • Have the desire for personal and professional growth in the outpatient field.
  • Strong skills in organization, communication, marketing, and counseling are needed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with team and independently needed.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Conduct patient assessments to evaluate their nutritional needs and goals
  • Develop individualized meal plans based on dietary restrictions, health conditions, and personal preferences
  • Provide education and provide individual counseling on healthy eating habits and food choices
  • Monitor patients' progress and make adjustments to their meal plans as needed
  • Conduct diagnostic evaluations to identify underlying causes of nutritional deficiencies or imbalances
  • Communicates with families, physicians, and other health care professions
  • Maintains daily, thorough documentation of services in the EMR

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited college or university with a Doctoral/Masters/Bachelors degree in Nutrition
  • Registered Dietitian credentials and a valid licensed in FL is required;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Good time management skills be a self-starter and a team player;
  • The ability to work well with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff.

Job Type: *PRN*

***A PRN therapist is part of an on-call pool of therapists who work on a per diem basis. PRN is short for the Latin term "pro re nata," which means "as needed." As a PRN therapist, a therapy organization will send patient assignments for the therapist to follow the POC when they need an extra therapist to treat their patient load.
