Position Overview:

Summit Utility Services is a leading utility services provider with a strong commitment to safety, innovation, and excellence. We specialize in locating and identifying underground utilities to ensure the safety and efficiency of construction and infrastructure projects across Sioux Falls and the surrounding areas. Join our team and become a crucial part of our mission to protect and enhance the communities we serve.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Utility Locator to join our team in Sioux Falls, SD. As a Utility Locator, you will be responsible for accurately identifying and marking the location of underground utilities such as gas, water, sewer, and electrical lines. Your work will play a critical role in preventing accidents and ensuring the success of construction projects.

Responsibilities:

- Use state-of-the-art equipment and technology to locate and mark underground utilities.

- Collaborate with project managers and construction crews to ensure accurate utility information.

- Follow safety protocols and best practices to maintain a safe work environment.

- Maintain accurate records and documentation of utility locations.

- Communicate effectively with clients and team members.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Previous utility locating experience is a plus but not required; we provide training.

- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
