Community Medical and Dental Care Inc. are looking to hire a part-time Optometrist to join our team. CMADC is a not-for-profit, FQHC look-alike, multispecialty facility. 

Duties/Responsibilities:

As, Optometrists you will have the opportunity to examine, diagnose, treat, and manage eye disorders, diseases, and injuries that manifest in the eye. In addition to providing eye and vision care, you will also play a key role in an individual's general health and well-being.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Applied understanding of general principles of optometry and best practices for the diagnosis and treatment of eye-related disorders and conditions
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate to patients of diverse backgrounds
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
  • General computer proficiency
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and multitasking ability

Education and Experience:

  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry program
  • Active NY state optometry license.
  • Board Certified 
  • Medicaid provider preferred
  • Two-plus years of optometry experience preferred
