Job DescriptionJob DescriptionFoxconn Wisconsin is seeking an Automation Technician that will work as part of production team to support and maintain automated systems for use in a manufacturing environment and collaborate with departmental to achieve departmental goals. Once a part of the team, you will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks within the Level 10 Department in a production environment and have the opportunity to display critical thinking skills to expand your career in Smart Manufacturing.

The Automation Technician will support production, solve issues in production processes and assess automation’s best use, as well as, assist Level 10 Department as needed.

Current open positions are available on the following shifts: 
  • 1st Shift: 7am-3:30pm
  • 2nd Shift: 3:30pm-12:00am

Job Responsibilities Include:
  • Solve common automation machine issues, reducing idle and down time of automation machines and feed materials for automation during time of production.
  • Coordinate and maintain smooth communication with other workers in order to achieve departmental goals.
  • Understand process of production and deal with common issues in production process.
  • Support existing automation technology with component and process upgrades
  • Installing and repairing electrical and mechanical components such as motors, switches, cylinders, or sensors
  • Implement Preventive Maintenance for all automation machines with records.
  • Supporting new machine builds, installations and modifications.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

Education Requirements and Ideal Experience Includes:
  • Associate's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineering preferred. 
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ years of experience working with automation equipment is highly desired.
  • Experience with network products (servers, switches) is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to learn new knowledge and programs of automation.
  • Have excellent communication skills to cooperate with Engineers, Operators and Production Supervisor.
  • Ability to stand for longer periods and must be capable of lifting 50 pounds.
