The Guest Artist is responsible for assisting in the apprenticeship program, working closely with the Education Coordinator, providing cosmetology services to clients, and providing support for the overall salon and academy. They will assist ongoing skill development for students as well as providing services to salon clients. This is a 30-day volunteer position in Cambodia.
Areas of Responsibility
◆ Education
o Assist the Education Coordinator with the overall training
o Student hands-on learning
o Coaching and supporting theory classes as directed by the Education Coordinator o Provide feedback to Education Coordinator regarding student's performance
◆ Client Services
o Provide exemplary salon services to clients, including (but not limited to) cutting, color, styling, shampooing, makeup, nail and skin services, and retail product education/sales o Help manage all customer concerns in a professional and timely manner
o Educate and promote retail products
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of cosmetology program/current cosmetology license in country of residence • 3+ years of experience as a stylist
- Excellent communication skills (listening and speaking)
- Good presentation skills
- Ability to manage time efficiently
- Strong retail experience
- Professional presence
- Strong customer service skills
- Sense of empathy
- Passion for the salon industry
