As a Floating Maintenance Technician at Oakbrook Corporation, you will be responsible for conducting routine maintenance and repairs at multiple properties. Your day-to-day tasks may include troubleshooting and fixing electrical issues, plumbing repairs, HVAC maintenance, carpentry work, and general upkeep of property grounds. You will also respond to work orders in a timely manner and ensure all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

What we are looking for in a Floating Maintenance Technician

To excel as a Floating Maintenance Technician at Oakbrook Corporation, you should have a strong background in general maintenance and repair work. Essential skills include solid knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems, as well as experience in troubleshooting and resolving maintenance issues efficiently. The ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and communicate effectively with team members and residents is crucial in this role. Proficiency in using maintenance software to track work orders and document repairs is preferred.

Familiarity with basic hand and power tools is essential. Any certifications in maintenance or related fields would be a bonus for this position. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel, sometimes overnight, is a requirement for this position.
