Job Overview

A CAD Integration Engineer is responsible for gathering user requirements, defining system functionality, writing code in various programming languages, like Java, C#, SQL, or command line scripting, and communicating with customers directly. Ideal candidates are familiar with the software development life cycle (SDLC) from preliminary system analysis to tests and deployment and are comfortable communicating with customers via email, telephone, screen-sharing sessions, or even in person. A CAD Integration Engineer is also required to articulate ideas, verbally and in written form, to coworkers, supervisors, and customers. CAD Integration Engineers need to be able to work with limited supervision and know when to consult senior engineers and architects when faced with difficult technical or customer issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Ongoing: analyzes, designs, and develops software applications
  • Ongoing: creates a unit testing environment to validate modular assumptions
  • Daily: provides ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements in existing systems and platforms
  • As Needed: collaborates cross-functionally with other business users, project managers, and other engineers to achieve elegant solutions
  • Ongoing: provides recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Ongoing: works alongside other engineers on the team to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices
  • As Needed: provides documents and documentation for system applications
  • Ongoing: leads informational conference calls with existing or prospective customers
  • Ongoing: leads technical screen-sharing sessions with customers to install or maintain integration projects
Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience with software development (Java and C# preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with Windows
  • Hands-on experience with databases and SQL
  • Experience with modern development tools
  • Capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with little supervision
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or equivalent experience
