Job Description - Power Pot Lead Assembler


Position Title:

Lead Assembler Power Pot


Job Description


This position is responsible for managing and overseeing the assembly of the Power Pot transformers area.


Essential Functions & Duties:

  • Must be able to read a tape measure.
  • Splice and crimp lead and connect leads to terminal blocks.
  • Measure and cut pressboard as needed.
  • Be able to safely operate production equipment and tools. carts, hand tools, and hoists.
  • Precise job set-ups as required, maintain inventory of items needed.
  • Read, comprehend, and strictly follow all documented processes and procedures. Review drawings and follow the bill of materials to make sure transformers are assembled correctly.
  • Use time clock system for time keeping purposes, at start and end of each shift.
  • Use the Infor ERP computer system to log in and track time by item and job. Making job moves.
  • Meet or exceed daily production goals and quality requirements.
  • Ability to lift products weighing up to 75+lbs.
  • Be forklift certified or be willing to be certified on-site.
  • Load tank assemblies in and out of ovens.
  • Possess the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Must be available to work overtime.
  • Able to perform in an un-conditioned working environment.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must practice good attendance.
  • Must be able to pass background check and drug screen.
  • Review, challenge and verify all safety features are in place and used on equipment.
  • Responsible for personal safety procedures and always wearing required PPE. Safety is a priority.
  • Maintain daily housekeeping procedures and schedules. Make sure tanks, parts, and coils are clean.
  • Perform additional duties as required by supervisor.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education, Experience and Skills Required:
    • Minimum high school diploma or GED

Must have a minimum of 2 years mechanical assembly experience and proven work stability history. Must have knowledge of Microsoft, 5s, and leading assembly.
