Job DescriptionAs a Pole Loading Analysis Technician on the Telecom team you will be responsible for reviewing aerial fiber pole attachments via pole loading analysis (PLA) data, review make-ready designs to ensure they meet National Electric Safety Code (NESC) requirements, quality control (QC) of post-construction installed aerial fiber to ensure the make-ready plans were completed as designed.
This role will require travel to job sites for observation or field work, working in all types of terrain and weather conditions.
QualificationsYou bring to the team:
- Strong communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Demonstrate the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to contribute and work well on a team.
- Ability to meet project deadlines.
- Associate/bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Advanced knowledge of the NESC pertaining to aerial fiber attachment requirements and clearances is required.
- Knowledge of aerial fiber pole loading review and analysis, is required.
- Knowledge of make-ready design, review, and analysis is required.
- Knowledge of aerial fiber pole loading review and analysis, is required.
- Knowledge of Google Earth KMZ files is preferred, not required.
- Knowledge of IKE data collection and Pole Foreman, O-Calc and Katapult is preferred, not required.
- Knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS Software products is preferred, not required.
