Position Type: Full-Time, Contract-to-Hire
Location: Melbourne, FL Summary:LEAD Technical is currently looking for a Steel Cutter for our manufacturing client in the Melbourne area. In this role, you will be setting up and operating a saw to cut steel to specification for use in manufacturing. This is a CONTRACT-TO-HIRE role that is available immediately.  Responsibilities: 

• Set up and operate a saw to cut steel components to size.
• Loading, unloading, racking, transporting steel into and out of the department.
• Working with other team members to ensure work is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area; and following applicable safety guidelines.
• Performing other duties as assigned by management.

 Qualifications:  

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Machine shop experience highly preferred.
• Comfort operating industrial saw. 
• Experience cutting steel to spec preferred.
• Experience dealing with metal (machining, cutting, etc.).
