Bookkeeper

Bookkeeper:

Seraphim is looking for a dynamic, thoughtful and team-oriented Bookkeeper to join our Accounting Team and assist with the day-to-day ebbs and flows of the department. The Bookkeeper will work closely with Accounting Associate and Accounting Director on all our real estate assets.

We are expanding the accounting staff at Seraphim Equities and our connected firms, ANS Title and Sharestates, as we continue to grow. We are looking for someone who likes to work in a fast-paced atmosphere who has solid fundamental bookkeeping/accounting experience preferably with an investment, insurance, Fintech, or real estate firm with strong knowledge of AppFolio.

Job Description:

• Perform bank account reconciliations
• Accurately post and process journal entries to ensure all transactions are recorded
• Prepare supporting schedules accurately
• Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial reports
• Assist with insurance, loan servicing and special projects
• Develops recommendations to optimize accounting systems and procedures and detect inaccuracies
• Booking account payables and receivables
• Supply support to the accounting team where needed

Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 1+ years prior experience, preferably with a bank, real estate or financial services firm
• 2+ years experience working with AppFolio
• Ability to work both independently and as a member of a growing team
• Demonstrated ability to have high attention to details required
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
• Previous experience with QuickBooks preferred
• Strong oral and written communications skills

Compensation: Salary

Work Schedule/Hours: Monday through Friday: 9am – 5:30pm
