OPS Consulting is seeking a Proposal Writer to work in Hanover, MD.
Job Description: The Proposal Writer will play an intricate part in OPS Consulting's growth trajectory. By collaborating amongst technical SME's, executive leadership, and cross-functional teams throughout the organization; the Proposal Writer will be at the forefront of new and innovative work. The Proposal Writer will have a passion for marketing capabilities, an eye for creativity, and the ability to meet the demands of proposal deadlines.
Additional responsibilities will include:
- Facilitate one on one conversations with SMEs to coauthor compelling technical solutions.
- Develop and maintain a robust library of marketing and proposal material.
- Responsible for one voicing proposal documents.
- Understand advanced grammar concepts and responsible for writing technical copy for various types of documents.
- Maintain word templates for marketing and proposal material.
- Use multiple word processing and presentation tools such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Adobe Acrobat, etc.
- Demonstrate knowledge in advanced word techniques for desktop publishing.
- Understand basic concepts and write technical copy for various types of documents for a program/project of similar complexity.
- Work collaboratively amongst members of the executive team, division leaders, and technical SME's.
- Successfully meet tight schedule constraints when business needs call for it.
Required Experience:
- 4 years of experience in similar business development support roles to include marketing, communications, or publishing specialist with a bachelor's degree completed in a relevant discipline.
- Experience with word processing, desktop publishing, and presentation tools to include MS Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Adobe Acrobat.
Security Clearance:
- Eligibility to obtain a current government clearance, background investigation, and polygraph are desired but not required.
