Job Description

Provides direct supervision of staff and assist Operations Supervisor in required tasks.

Responsibilities

 

  • Provides direct supervision to the Behavioral Techs to ensure all clients are adhering to the daily schedule.
  • Guides Behavioral Techs by providing hands on supervision for all aspects of client care.
  • Reports any maintenance issues to the Operations Supervisor.
  • Works with Operations Supervisor to ensure client safety and wellbeing by monitoring all client/Behavioral Techs interaction.
  • Provides Operations Supervisor a weekly supply inventory to make sure facility has any supplies needed.
  • Coordinates all intake and discharge transportation along with the Operations Supervisor.
  • Assigns Behavioral Techs responsibilities on a shift by shift basis.
  • Communicates any schedule changes or directives from the Operations Supervisor to the Behavioral Techs
  • Ensures completion of daily vehicle inspections to maintain safe operation.
  • Oversee the urine drug screen collection, tracking and results.
  • Completes and forwards copy of Incident Reports and any other safety/risk issues to supervisor.
  • Assist Clinical and Nursing staff as directed.
  • Provides on call coverage as assigned.
  • Build positive relationships with clients and staff.
  • Provides a safe and therapeutic environment to all staff and patients.
  • Recognizes, responds to and assists in psychiatric crisis situations and provide the intervention necessary
  • Responds and assists in medical emergency situations as directed and needed.
  • Communicates effectively with client and interdisciplinary team regarding client needs.
  • Assists with chart documentation and compliance.
  • Adheres to all program policies and procedures while ensuring client safety at all times.
  • Performs other duties assigned.

This is a part-time position working Sat/Sun 11am-7pm working at our Crownsville, MD location.

Qualifications

 

  • High School or GED Diploma
  • 1 – 2 years of experience in a similar position or similar function. 
  • Maintains open communication lines with facility staff, attending clinicians and physicians, patients and families.  Liaisons with community agencies, vendors, and payers of health services.
