Summary:

Lynx Technology Partners is seeking an experienced and skilled Database Administrator to manage and optimize our clients' database systems. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of hands-on experience with SQL Server, a deep understanding of database technical design, storage configuration, space management, backup and disaster recovery, and strong troubleshooting skills. The role also requires experience in developing and maintaining integrated databases, as well as providing technical assistance in the design and modification of new and existing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and manage database storage, space management, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Implement and manage backup and recovery processes to ensure high data availability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex database-related issues, ensuring system stability and performance.
  • Assist in data modeling for new system designs or modifications to existing systems.
  • Develop and maintain database programming using stored procedures, triggers, and similar development methods.
  • Monitor performance and provide ongoing tuning of databases to optimize transaction and query efficiency.
  • Install and upgrade database versions, ensuring that security and functionality are up to date.
  • Provide support for development, testing, and production environments.
  • Develop and document database administration procedures to ensure high system availability and reliability.
  • Continuously evaluate processes to identify areas for improvement in database performance and efficiency.
  • Perform impact analysis of changes to database objects and provide recommendations.


RequirementsRequirements:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
  • Expert knowledge in Windows Server, SQL Server, Azure Cloud Platform, particularly in SQL Managed Instance, Azure Storage Account, and Azure security fundamentals.
  • Experience in implementing High Availability (Always-On) configurations.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and database management.
  • Knowledge of Python is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on logical troubleshooting and performance optimization.
  • Certifications in Microsoft technologies (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate) are preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with modern database technologies and cloud-based solutions.
  • Familiarity with database performance tools and SQL Server reporting services.
  • Strong initiative, leadership skills, and a proven work ethic.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
