The position of Associate Attorney at the law firm of Padgett Law Group. involves duties and responsibilities as delegated by the Supervising Attorney of that respective state. Said duties and responsibilities are dynamic in nature and are subject to change as the firm grows and as the landscape of the firm’s primary practice (creditor’s rights) changes.

As an Associate Attorney, the attorney is expected to provide his or her knowledge and experience to the oversight and management of high volume statewide foreclosure matters. The attorney is responsible for ensuring that all appropriate actions are taken to expedite the firm’s files.

  • These steps include, but are not necessarily limited to, outlining the appropriate actions to be taken and ensuring that said steps are implemented and completed, as well as overseeing any actions of paralegals that are assigned to assist the attorney or the Contested Litigation Department. The attorney is also expected to act as a liaison between the firm and its clients, vendors, outside counsel, courts, trustees, and other foreclosure personnel. All files will be managed in accordance with applicable foreclosure rules (Federal and local) and firm-established timelines, rules, goals and objectives. The attorney is expected to become familiar with and work within the firm’s case management system to create, manage and review daily and weekly reports for exceptions and discrepancies. The attorney shall review and execute various pleadings and correspondence, as well as ensure that client and firm management systems are accurately updated and maintained.

In addition to the above responsibilities and duties, the attorney is expected to accept other duties as assigned from management.

• Ability to handle difficult/delicate issues with diplomacy and tact

• Professional and ethical conduct with a positive attitude and superior work ethic

• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor

• Ability to handle multiple priorities, take initiative and adapt to change

• Outline, prepare and present pleadings and other court and legal documents, as well as argue the merits of assigned cases at hearings, conferences, mediations, or trial, as appropriate.
