Position Overview

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk shall serve as a warehouse specialist will collaborate and communicate with various stakeholders involved in the shipment and receipt of products, including logistics technicians, customer service representatives, service providers, vendors, and drivers. They will be responsible for tracking, tracing, and updating the status of incoming and outgoing shipments. The warehouse specialist will also maintain a clean, neat, and member-ready area, promptly unload trucks and deliveries, sort and stock receivables, and engage with vendors and drivers in a positive manner. Additionally, they may provide backup support for shipping and receiving departments. This position will work together as a team and be reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor.

 

Job Duties to include but not limited to:

  • To pull orders from inventory for daily distribution.
  • To maintain a clean warehouse and dock.
  • To assist on flow rack when necessary.
  • To repack damaged product.
  • To maintain forklifts ensuring batteries are charged and filled with water.
  • To receive raw and packaging materials.
  • To load and weight scrap for pick up.
  • To ensure production lines are supplied with appropriate materials.
  • To ensure Kitchen and Starch departments are supplied daily with raw materials.
  • To perform duties requiring standing, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling, reaching, and grabbing on a continuous basis throughout the day.
  • To wear appropriate protective clothing while performing duties.
  • To comply with all rules and regulations and ton continuously practice safety while performing duties.
  • Practice and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
  • To perform repetitive lifting of up to 65 pounds and to push and pull a pallet jack up to 2000 pounds.
  • To ensure that your work area is cleaned throughout the day end at the end of your scheduled shift.
  • To develop and maintain positive working relationships as a team with other employees and other departments as a responsibility in fulfilling all job functions.
  • A commitment to quality assurance to ensure we manufacture quality products for our customers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

 

Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Experience in a manufacturing facility, preferably in a warehouse.
  • Effective Communication Skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, hands-on environment
  • Professional appearance and conduct with customers, vendors, and other employees.
