JOB TITLE: Title III Wellness Coordinator
DEPARTMENT: Title III Project
REPORTS TO: Title III Project Director
STATUS: Part Time, Grant Funded, Non-Exempt


PURPOSE: To develop ACC’s new Wellness Center and the gradual implementation of the college’s nutritional, physical, financial, and mental wellness programs for students.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
   1. Develop financial literacy assessment for ACC students and implement regular assessment schedule;
   2. Develop financial health education training opportunities for students;
   3. Coordinate physical wellness services including the expansion of exercise gym resources, wellness classes, and workout training programs;
   4. Develop a nutritional training/education program to be implemented on campus;
   5. Coordinate mental health services, utilizing college-contracted partners and publicize availability of those services;
   6. Provide training to students on how to peer-lead other students in developing health and wellness habits;
   7. Monitor, measure, and modify the program to ensure achievement of stated objectives;
   8. Write various monthly reports as needed and submit to Title III director as necessary.


REQUIREMENTS:
   1. Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, physical education, wellness, or related field;
   2. Experience in wellness programs (financial, nutrition, fitness, mental health);

   3. Commitment to Alaska Native education and institutional mission with demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural environment.
   4. Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to relate well with faculty, staff, and students across various departments;
   5. Must display critical thinking, problem solving, long-range planning, and decision making skills;
   6. Must be able to pass a background check. Must understand and maintain confidentiality;
   7. Must be organized, efficient, and show good time management skills;
   8. Carries out other duties as assigned.
