GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Mortgage Loan Funder and Shipper is responsible for reviewing loan documents, funding loan files, scanning loan documents, and preparing packages to ship to investors. This position is also responsible for in-house clearing exceptions with investors and handling all final documents.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF JOB:

1. Review all loan packages for acceptability prior to disbursement.

2. Review/clear all underwriting (added), conditions prior to funding a loan.

3. Review all loan packages received from title companies.

4. Responsible for funding all loans, calculating all fee sheets and fees, and wiring out funds.

5. Responsible for paying and pulling all fees and certificates for government and conventional loans.

6. Responsible for clearing all conditions/exceptions with investors on shipped loans for purchasing.

7. Ensure all Encompass files are accurate prior to management review and reporting.

8. All other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:

REQUIRED SKILLS:

1. Thorough understanding of American National Bank and Investor regulations regarding funding of loans.

2. Ability to read and understand mortgage documents.

3. Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare related reports.

4. Ability to use all office machines and proficiency in computer programs.

5. Ensure accuracy in loan funding.

6. Ability to communicate with title company personnel, investors, agents, builders, and bank personnel.

7. Extensive knowledge of mortgage lending requirements regarding legal matters, funding restrictions, etc.

8. Ability to work under pressure; possess exceptional skills in time management, multitasking and attention to detail; communicate effectively and work closely with co-workers.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS and WORKING CONDITIONS: While performing the essential functions of this job you are continuously required to sit, stand, talk or hear; they may use hands to handle or feel and frequently are required to reach with their hands and arms and occasionally stand, walk, climb or balance. They may occasionally lift, move, push, or pull up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. This is an indoor position and the noise level in the work area is usually moderate. There are no harmful environmental conditions present for this position.


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: High school degree or GED equivalent; emphasis on office skills, plus minimum of 1 year of mortgage closing experience or 12-18 months of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.


REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: This position reports directly to the Closing Officer, who reports to the SVP and the EVP of Residential Mortgage, who report directly to the President/CEO of American National Bank & Trust.
