We are excited to bring your Robotics expertise to empower the next generation of innovators at a prestigious charter school.

Robotics /FLL Explorer Coach - We are seeking an experienced robotics mentor and leader to coach a new robotics workshop. As the Robotics Explorer Instructor / Coach, you will guide and teach elementary (grades 3rd through 5th graded) students as they design, build, program, their own creation.s This is an exciting opportunity to use your robotics and leadership skills to help shape the next generation of STEM talent.

Responsibilities:

• Lead robot design, ,assembly, programming, and testing from prototype to finished bot.
• Facilitate team sessions 1 times per week.
• Build student's problem-solving, strategic thinking, and design skills.
• Arrange logistics for competition registration, tournament coordination.
• Share team progress and accomplishments with families and supporters.

Time Commitment 2 hours a week - Mondays. Must be able to commit for April -May. Possibility to extend to Summer camp for the right candidate.

Requirements:

• 1+ year experience mentoring/coaching youth robotics teams such as FLL or similar.
• Robotics engineering and programming abilities.
• Passion for education and youth development.
• Communicate effectively with students to understand their learning needs and goals.
• Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods as needed.
• Create lesson plans and teaching materials.
• Foster a positive and supportive learning environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Organized, responsible, driven and dependable.
• Able to commit to full competition season, meetings, and events.
• Must pass required background Livescan check.

Job Types: Contract, Temporary

Schedule:

• After school - Monday

Work Location: In person - Pala, CA
