Who is LCMHA?
LCMHA (Lenawee Community Mental Health Authority) provides or manages a full array of services to adults and children with mental health and/or emotional disturbances, persons with substance use disorders, and persons with developmental disabilities. Our mission is to create a path to resilience, recovery, wellness, and self-determination for these individuals.
What would this job entail?
Lenawee Community Mental Health Authority is currently recruiting a full time Access Clinician for the Access team. The ideal candidate will be a licensed psychologist, licensed Master's social worker, licensed counselor, or be licensed in another related behavioral health field. This individual will:
- Complete emergency assessments and provide crisis stabilization services;
- Complete assessment to determine service eligibility and assign a preliminary diagnosis and level of care for developmental disability, mental illness, and substance abuse disorder services.
The qualifications for this position are:
- Graduation from an accredited Master's or PhD program in Psychology, Social Work, Guidance and Counseling, or other related behavioral health field;
- Licensed or certified by the State of Michigan in psychology (Limited Psychologist / LLP), social work (Masters Social Worker / MSW), guidance and counseling (Licensed Counselor / LPC), or other related behavioral health field;
- Postgraduate work experience in the areas of severe and persistent mental illness, serious emotional disturbance, developmental disabilities, and/or substance use;

The annualized salary for this position ranges from $64,467 (the starting annual salary) to $83,265 (each based on a 37-1/2 hour work-week); the range is based on the number of years of service with the agency.
The benefits package includes:
Employees receive a generous paid leave benefit, and paid leave begins to accrue as of the first day of employment; an employee would receive about 24-1/2 paid days off in the first year. The number of paid leave hours an employee accrues is based on length of service; the paid leave time accruing increases after one year, five years, and ten years of employment.
Employees receive scheduled annual salary increases, starting after one year of employment.
Paid Holidays -- LCMHA observes 14 paid holidays per year; employees are eligible for paid holidays as of the first day of employment.
Employees are eligible to enroll in comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance as of the first day of employment.
- Medical insurance: the agency covers:
- The agency covers 100% of the insurance cost for one of the plan choices, at all three levels of coverage (employee-only, employee-plus-one, and family coverage);
- The agency covers about 94% of the insurance cost at the employee-only coverage level for the other two plan choices;
- The agency covers about 82% of the insurance cost at the employee-plus-one and family coverage levels for the other two plan choices.
- Vision insurance: the agency covers 87% of the cost for all coverage levels;
- Dental insurance: the agency covers 100% of the cost for all coverage levels.
Employees who decline to enroll in the agency's medical insurance program because they have medical insurance coverage from a different source receive a medical insurance opt-out payment (this benefit starts as of the first day of employment).
Retirement Benefits: this benefit starts as of the first day of employment.
Long-Term Disability and Life Insurance (at no cost) -- this benefit starts as of the 91st day of employment.
LCMHA is also a participating / qualifying site for several student debt relief options including the HRSA Loan Repayment Program & MDHHS Behavioral Health Loan Repayment Program (Please note that employee eligibility is determined by these programs, and not by LCMHA).
