Job Description:


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated caregiver to provide support for a 42-year-old female with intellectual disabilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in caring for individuals with similar needs.

Responsibilities:


  • Provide supervision and transportation during community outings and activities.
  • Assist with meal preparation.
  • Accompany and support the client during community exercise programs.
  • Attend classes at the Center for Independent Living with the client, providing necessary assistance.
  • Support the client in communicating effectively, using gestures and simple sentences.
  • Supervise and assist the client with walking and mobility to ensure safety.
Requirements:


  • Experience in caregiving, particularly with individuals who have intellectual disabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to understand and respond to non-verbal cues and simple verbal communication.
  • Ability to prepare simple, nutritious meals.
  • Physical ability to assist with mobility and provide supervision during walking and exercise.
  • Reliable transportation to accompany the client to various locations.
  • Must pass Level 2 Background Check.
Schedule:
  • Part time
  • 10 hours a week
