Are you a self-driven, highly motivated individual looking for an opportunity to perform professional level accounting work of a varied and complex nature?  If so, look no further Plank Enterprises, Inc., an Eau Claire, WI, based holding company whose ownership interests include LPI, Inc., LDPI, Inc. and Pro~Cise, Inc., is looking for a General Ledger Accountant to join their accounting/finance team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to perform professional level accounting work of a varied and complex nature under the general direction of the Controller.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES for this GENERAL LEDGER ACCOUNTANT position:
  • Prepare and record journal entries and accruals as part of the month-end close process
  • Analyze activity and perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Intercompany transfers and entries
  • Manage fixed assets
  • Prepare financial reports
  • Property and sales and use tax reporting
  • Job costing and reporting
  • Year-end work paper preparation
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned

IDEAL CANDIDATES for this GENERAL LEDGER ACCOUNT position will possess the following QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting; CMA or CPA a plus
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger procedures with a manufacturing background
  • Detail oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments within strict time constraints
  • Strong analytical, financial and interpersonal skills
  • Competent with Microsoft Excel and Word applications
  • Ability to work both as a team player and independently
  • Payroll processing knowledge
  • USMCA reporting & certifications experience
