Maintenance Electrician - Palmdale, CA

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Proficient at all types of plant electrical systems, sources, feeders, branch circuits and be able to isolate or shut off and make safe repairs without affecting production in an adverse way
  • Can diagnose motor control circuits, diagnose, repair, and replace or design plant control circuits and equipment
  • Must be able to work with three phase 110v to 480v
  • Proficient in the use of tools and measuring devices common to Maintenance
  • Display good organizational skills, able to organize work projects and help direct project repairs
  • Study blueprints and manufacturers’ manuals to determine correct installation and operation of machinery
  • Record parts and materials used, and order or requisition new parts and materials as necessary
  • The ability to trouble shoot, repair and maintain all plant equipment
  • Ability to read and comprehend electrical schematics associated with pant equipment
  • Capable of performing preventative maintenance on all plant equipment
  • Ability to maintain a good working environment with management and fellow workers
DUTIES:
  • Repair and maintain the operating condition of industrial production and processing machinery and equipment
  • Observe and test the operation of machinery and equipment in order to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters and other testing devices
  • Analyze test results, machine error messages, and information obtained from operators in order to diagnose equipment problems
  • Demonstrates high proficiency in both production and quality
  • Trouble shoot, repair, and most plant equipment
  • Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical panels
  • Help mechanics troubleshoot faulty mechanical operations and make the necessary repairs
  • Operating mobile equipment such as forklift and man lift
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly
  • Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs
  • Record repairs and maintenance performed
  • Record parts and materials used
  • Demonstrate equipment functions and features to machine operators

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent, 3+ years of experience in the field or related area, possess basic hand tools, ability to work at heights, able to lift up to 50 lbs. (employees are encouraged to seek assistance when lifting over 50 lbs.), able to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks in an unsupervised manner, must have an electrical journeyman certification, must be able to pass an electrical journeyman test, must have reliable attendance, willing to work flexible hours, & work well with others.
