GENERAL POSITION OVERVIEW

The NVOCC analyst is responsible for the daily contract management, Cargo NOS/FAK pricing, and service responsibility for both internal and external customers of assigned NVOCC accounts.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

  • Provide rate requests, price setting, amendment updates, and bid reviews, processing, and updating for daily HMM and customer contracting needs.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

  • GRI updates
  • Analysis of customer’s rates-validate they are within market.
  • Rating issues review and reconciliation
  • Performance tracking
  • Process Improvement
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, demanding and cross functional environment
  • Able to work independently
  • Analytical problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organization and planning skills
  • Interpersonal communication skills, articulate and appropriate verbal; ability to produce and present effectively to internal and external customers
  • Strong computer literacy required in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with internal regulations and international shipping laws

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Requires 3 years of relevant transportation experience with a Freight Forwarder, NVOCC, 3PL, or Ocean Shipping Line
