A Cannabis Delivery Driver Lead plays a pivotal role in overseeing the delivery team within a cannabis dispensary or delivery service. This position involves managing delivery drivers, ensuring proper vehicle maintenance, and addressing driver concerns and issues. This role plays a critical part in maintaining efficient and compliant delivery operations.
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Supervise and lead the delivery driver team, providing guidance, training, and support.
Driver Scheduling: Assist in creating driver schedules, ensuring efficient routes, and timely deliveries.
Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules, including inspections, repairs, and ensuring vehicles are equipped with safety features.
Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all local and state regulations governing cannabis product transportation, including tracking, reporting, and age verification requirements.
Driver Training: Train and onboard new delivery drivers, emphasizing safe driving practices, regulatory compliance, and customer service.
Conflict Resolution: Address driver concerns, complaints, and issues, working to resolve them promptly and professionally.
Inventory Management: Collaborate with inventory control to ensure accurate tracking of products and inventory reconciliation for delivery orders.
Customer Service: Address customer inquiries and concerns related to deliveries, striving for exceptional customer service.
Routing and Optimization: Collaborate with the team to optimize delivery routes for efficiency and timely deliveries.
Inventory Checks: Participate in periodic inventory checks or audits to ensure accurate stock levels and proper organization.
OTR: Delivery to our patients while maintaining a respectful attitude and efficient services.
Consistent communication with the leadership teams.
Ensuring any incidents are reported in a timely and accurate manner.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Additional education or certifications in logistics, fleet management, or the cannabis industry are a plus.
Previous experience in a delivery driver role, with leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
In-depth knowledge of local and state regulations governing the transportation of cannabis products.
Strong communication skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service.
Proficiency in using route optimization software and delivery management systems.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
A passion for the cannabis industry and a commitment to compliance.
Working Conditions:
Work in a cannabis dispensary or in the vehicle.
Exposure to cannabis products and compliance with strict security and confidentiality protocols.
May require working irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet customer demand.
Adherence to all relevant cannabis regulations and safety guidelines.
A Cannabis Delivery Driver Lead is essential in ensuring that the delivery team operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulatory requirements. This role requires strong leadership skills, knowledge of cannabis transportation regulations, and the ability to address driver concerns and customer service issues effectively.
Starting Wage: $18/hr. The Flowery offers yearly (or performance based) evaluations per the company's discretion. All full-time employees automatically qualify for benefits (health, dental and/or vision), PTO & Paid Holidays after their probationary period; which is 30 days.
