Scope:

At David’s Loft Clinical Programs, we owe our success to people and processes. A Program Assistant is a supportive force behind both, and we are currently seeking someone exceptional to take the helm. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the behavioral health field supporting individuals with mental illness, substance use disorders, and or individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. The suitable candidate also must possess situational awareness, good judgment, and excellent communication skills to ensure the safety of our patients. 


Status: Non-Exempt


Responsibilities: 


  1. Provide Rehabilitation Services in a residential setting to adult patients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
  2. Provide mentorship and assistance to people enrolled in the residential program including group activities as well as 1:1 individual time with clients.
  3. Monitor medications as required by persons’ treatment plans or doctor’s order.
  4. Ensure treatment participants are engaged in treatment and following treatment schedules.
  5. Monitor and supervise daily activities
  6. Coordinate laundry duties to ensure clean clothes for patients
  7. Prep rooms for new patients entering the program
  8. Assist clients with obtaining entitlements
  9. Provide conflict resolutions (as needed) to ensure patients safety and compliance to the code of conduct set forth in the program
  10. Prepares meals to ensure nutritional needs are met of patients
  11. Program assistant is on a flex schedule
  12. Other duties as assigned within scope of role to drive DLCP mission, values and vision 


Requirements and Qualifications:


  1. Posses a high school diploma or equivalent
  2. Be able to pass a federal and state background check
  3. Experience working with individuals who have substance use and mental disorders
  4. Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work
  5. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  7. Strong organizational and planning skills
  8. This role operates on a flex schedule


Reports To: 

Program Director/ Operations Manager


Physical Capacity: 

Must be able to sit and stand for 20 minutes and lift at least 10 lbs.
