The Stock Room Attendant is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the stockroom to ensure the efficient, organized, and safe receipt, storage, and dispatch of products. This role requires managing inventory, coordinating with other departments, and maintaining a clean and orderly stockroom environment. Additionally, the Stock Room Manager will be responsible for distributing supplies to factory workers to ensure smooth and uninterrupted production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of stock.
Maintain accurate inventory records using the DXP inventory management system.
Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as necessary to ensure continuous availability.
Stock Room Organization:

Ensure the stockroom is organized, clean, and safe.
Implement and maintain proper labeling and storage systems.
Develop and enforce stockroom policies and procedures.
Team Management:

Supervise and train stockroom staff.
Schedule and assign tasks to ensure efficient workflow.
Monitor staff performance and provide feedback and coaching.
Coordination and Communication:

Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of stock.
Communicate with suppliers regarding orders, deliveries, and discrepancies.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints regarding stock availability and delivery.
Health and Safety:

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections.
Address and resolve any safety issues promptly.
Reporting:

Prepare regular reports on stock levels, movements, and discrepancies.
Provide insights and recommendations for inventory optimization.
Supply Distribution:

Manage the distribution of supplies to factory workers, ensuring they have the materials needed for their tasks.
Implement efficient processes for issuing and tracking supplies to workers.
Respond promptly to requests from factory workers for additional supplies, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
Proven experience in inventory management, stockroom operations, or a similar role.
Proficiency in using DXP or similar inventory management systems.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Leadership abilities with experience in team management.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to stockroom operations.
Working Conditions:

This position may require lifting and moving heavy items.
Work may be performed in a warehouse or stockroom environment, which may involve exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
