Solterra Academy is seeking a temporary Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and positive environment in our buildings. The Custodian is responsible for performing essential cleaning duties in classrooms, offices, and common areas. Hours: Monday - Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM. This role is temporary and will end on December 1, 2024.


Requirements:


Cleaning:

  • Ensure cleanliness of offices, classrooms, and common areas.
  • Empty trash and recycling bins daily.
  • Vacuum carpets daily and shampoo them as needed.
  • Sanitize bathrooms and other high-traffic areas.

Maintenance:

  • Strip, wax, and buff hallways when assigned.
  • Report any maintenance issues to the Facilities Manager.

Building Support:

  • Assist with moving furniture when required.
  • Help with setup and breakdown of chairs and tables for meetings and events.

Compliance:

  • Follow Aramark Best Practices when performing cleaning tasks.
  • Safely handle cleaning chemicals and agents.
  • Adhere to Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to follow cleaning and safety protocols.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Duration:

  • This is a temporary assignment that will conclude on December 1, 2024.
