In this role you will work with the Mainframe Computing Operational Tools Team to develop new applications and tools that assist the Mainframe Computing Department in their support business units, as well as the multiple development teams that provide daily mainframe systems support. The team also provides support, modifications, changes and enhancements of existing in-house developed applications and tools.
We are looking for an intermediate level Product Owner who can also act in the capacity as a Business Analyst. To be successful in this position, the candidate must have strong organizational skills, communication skills, and have an attention for detail. You need to serve as a product expert, be able to develop and maintain a prioritized list of customer requirements for a product, lead product design, write user stories and derive detailed requirements for new and existing applications.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform detailed business analysis, and outline problems, or opportunities, and solutions for multiple development teams.
  • Serve as a product expert, product evangelist and the advocate of the customer.
  • Gather and review business requirements and write the desired user stories.
  • Define and drive functional/technical strategies and product roadmaps.
  • Manage project stand-up ceremonies and gathering of the requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with developers.
  • Assist in product testing, analysis, and diagnosis of application issues.

Skills required:
  • Minimum of seven years' experience in Product Owner and/or Business Analyst role in an enterprise environment
  • Experience working in financial services and banking at an enterprise scale for a minimum of two years.
  • Knowledge of three of the following: Git, Perl, Python, Sybase, JavaScript, Angular, and Splunk
  • A minimum of three years of experience and knowledge of JIRA, Office 365, and Twiki.
  • A minimum of three years of Kanban/Agile experience.
  • Experience supporting mainframe-based applications is highly desired.
  • Proficient in system architecture, integration, and client/server to Web
  • Certifications are preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong persuasion skills and ability to communicate with highly technical domain experts.
