Director of Sales

The Sunray Companies, a growing company, has a wonderful opportunity available for a flexible, honest, friendly, high-energy, hard-working, guest-focused individual that has a knack for sales . Our Hampton Inn & Suites team is looking to hire a Director of Sales. The Director of sales is not only the face of the company but is responsible for maintaining and growing the business for Sunray Hospitality hotels. They will be in charge of ensuring their facility meets revenue goals in meeting room and guest room rentals. This position will require extensive inside and outside sales calls. This person must be results driven to meet and exceed budget and sales quotas on a weekly basis.

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for:

  • Daily sales calls both inside and outside calls
    • Maximizing the potential sales volume of all segments of the market.
    • Accuracy of all information on websites, collateral and advertising that promote the hotel.
    • Maintaining and updating the branded website content and working with Marketing to update the hotel's profile, current locations, etc.
    • Developing and implementing strategic marketing and sales plans.
    • Developing and managing sales/marketing operating budgets.
    • Attend all required Revenue Management calls
    • Representing the property at local events, the Chamber and CVB
    • Meeting with key clients, maintaining relationships and negotiating/closing deals.
    • Preparing weekly sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
  • Reviewing and analyzing sales performances against programs, quotes, and plans to determine effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing or business administration or Five (5) years of related hospitality management experience
  • Computer skills
  • Strong communication and sales skills
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Access to reliable transportation

Salary plus Bonus

Education Required: Bachelor Degree preferred
