As a Professional Land Surveyor in the Walla Walla office, this leadership role will assist with the oversight and management of the Walla Walla Survey Department including project scheduling, budgets, proposals, and business development. Our multi-disciplinary team at PBS services local and regional clients in many diversified, exciting projects such as large vineyards, renewable energy, and public land survey system sites to name a few. This position comes with high growth opportunities and the opportunity to evolve into the Walla Walla Survey Department Manager.

$85,000 to $150,000 annually, full-time, with benefits, and flexibility for a hybrid schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum qualifications:

  • Washington state registered Professional Land Surveyor (PLS)
  • 3+ years' experience overseeing and performing land surveys as a registered PLS
  • Experience in office production including boundary, topographic and construction surveying
  • Experience in business development
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Civil3D and Carlson Survey
  • Aspiration for growth opportunities including taking on management responsibilities
  • Valid driver's license

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in overseeing the Walla Walla Survey Department and projects
  • Oversee and perform land survey and mapping functions
  • Supervise Survey Technicians and survey field crews
  • Plan and coordinate work of field staff
  • Review and certify completed work to satisfy project requirements
  • Work with PBS Clients to identify project needs and prepare scope and fee proposals
  • Secure additional survey projects
