Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPosition: Thrift Store ManagerLocation: Gaffney, SCPOSITION SUMMARY:The Thrift Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the thrift store, ensuring efficient processing of donations, effective pricing strategies, excellent customer service, and driving store traffic and sales. The manager will lead a team of store associates to achieve key performance metrics and standards, and implement innovative strategies to increase store traffic, sales, and donations.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee and enforce the highest-quality customer service standards among all team members, leading by example.
  • Drive production from sorters and processors by setting clear expectations, communicating effectively with staff, and inspecting regularly. Provide weekly reports to Director of Thrift Stores on the stores donation processing rates.
  • Ensure pricing strategies are in line with achieving Carol's Hopes' expected budgets and KPI's.
  • Conduct (minimum) weekly team huddles/meetings to communicate, motivate, and train staff.
  • Take proactive actions and measures to regularly implement new initiatives to help generate store traffic, sales, and/or donations.
  • Perform (minimum) annual performance evaluations for all store associates to identify strengths and areas for improvement and development, providing feedback and support as needed.
Qualifications:- Minimum of 2 years of retail management experience, preferably in a thrift store environment- Strong leadership and communication skills- Ability to analyze and interpret data to drive performance- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities- Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs- Commitment to excellent customer service and team developmentCompensation:- Competitive pay based on experience and performance
