On-Road Transportation Supervisor

Julius Silvert is hiring an On-Road Transportation Supervisor to join our growing team. Responsibilities:
- Supervise drivers, and prepare drivers for their day & workload by providing regular training, coaching, follow up & support, including on-road support & performance audit
- On-road driver management
- Ensure safety compliance (HOS compliance, DVIR, pre/post-check, uniform, PPE, etc.)
- Monitor and enforce on-time/route compliance
- Train, monitor, and enforce accurate and complete scanning
- Motivate, communicate, and drive successful driver behavior
- Conduct regular Safety & Performance meetings
- Train new drivers
Qualifications:
- CDL A or B Required
- Previous experience and/or formal training or education in the transportation industry, preferably in the food industry. Refrigerated truck experience is a plus
- Sound knowledge of DOT Safety regulations and FMSCA compliance regulations is required
- Possess strong leadership skills and the ability to supervise the work of others. Must be able to take direction, motivate and work with and through others to achieve desired results
- Exceptional multi-tasking and communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to deal with a wide variety of people both in person and over the phone
- Strong sense of urgency, with the ability to handle administrative duties along with operations management in a fast-paced, time-sensitive industry
- Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills required
- Flexibility with schedule including the ability to work nights, weekends and holidays to support 24/7 operation
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications, with strong Excel, preferred
