Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPrimary Responsibilities:
- Develop, refine, and implement Premier Safety Policies, procedures, data collection, and reporting mechanisms.
- Provide guidance and leadership to employees on safety-related topics, including monthly focal items, New Hire Orientation, and Monthly Safety Meetings across all shifts.
- Serve as a catalyst for change across all levels of the plant floor on a daily basis.
- Continuously assess the company's safety needs and trends to enhance the work environment and ensure employee safety.
- Act as a key member of the Safety Committee, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Manage Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for incoming materials destined for the Repackaging facility.
- Demonstrate a commitment to safety as a leading example in daily activities, embracing "Extreme Ownership".
- Conduct regular unannounced walk-throughs of work areas to identify safety issues and concerns, engaging with personnel.
- Assist in emergency response efforts and provide guidance on first aid procedures.
- Lead facility incident investigations, including response, reporting, root cause analysis, and follow-up actions.
- Provide flexibility in supporting various management activities as needed, such as back-filling for the Bulk Plant EHS Manager or conducting New Hire Orientations.
- Perform monthly inventory checks for First Aid supplies, Fire Extinguishers, Spill kits, etc.
- Identify and report maintenance needs for equipment, plant floor areas, and warehouse areas that could pose safety risks.
Travel Requirements: Minimal to none.
Special Knowledge, Skills, and Training:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and spreadsheet applications.
- Demonstrated leadership in health and safety management across all management levels.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to develop various training materials, including multimedia visual aids, presentations, procedures, and process maps.
- Conduct basic root cause analysis and implement corrective-preventive actions.
- Proficient in conducting and managing 5S plus Safety Audits and scheduling.
- Detail-oriented and highly self-motivated.
Education:
Associates Degree preferred.
