PURPOSE
The Estimator is responsible for the estimation operations for design/build process of The Cleary Company. They will also be a liaison between sales & production teams and responsible for creating a budget for all jobs.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
1. Assist in gathering of new job information regarding client’s needs/wants
2. Set up initial estimate ranges based on preliminary designs for initial presentations based on past similar jobs
3. Solicit multiple quotes from Trade Partner & Vendors.
4. Produce estimates for Design Agreements and Contracts for Sales/Design approval.
5. Keep current with new products, Trade Partners & Vendors.
6. Participate in in-office preconstruction meeting with Sales/Design team.
7. Assist Production with schedules as needed to keep transition smooth between Sales & production teams.
8. Have input over hiring and firing of trade partners.
9. Prepare budgets and assist in writing change orders.
10. Attend Sales/Design meetings as needed
11. Attend association and industry meetings
Requirements:- Highly organized
- Excellent communicator
- Takes direction well from a team of individuals
- Willing to work on multiple things at once
- People person that comes off well in person, on the phone, video, and via email/text
- Team player
- Minimum industry experience is needed, but a desire to learn our industry
- Customer service experience
- 2-5 Years’ Experience with Budgeting (Job Costing a plus but not required)
- 2-5 Years’ Experience in Microsoft (Work, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
